The Island of Tenerife is popular with all year round visitors with its average temperature of 26 degrees, some people know it as the land of eternal spring, with beautiful beaches, impressive volcanic mountain, Mount Teide, National Park, water parks, wild life parks, scenery, cliffs, really is something for everyone. Along with great things to offer tourists, there is also wide selection of properties in Tenerife, which can accommodate residential or holiday apartments, townhouses, and luxury villas. The south of the island is most popular with tourists and the purchase of holiday homes with a wide selection of area´s and properties to choose from.
The main touristic and most popular areas in the south would be Los Cristianos, Playa de Las Americas, Torviscas / Fanabe, and the exclusive Playa del Duque / La Caleta. In these areas there are properties ranging from studio apartments to luxury villas with private pools. These areas all offer a great selection of hotels, private property, restaurants, bars, nightlife, and great beach’s with all kinds of water sports. The approximant journey-time by car from the Tenerife south airport Reina Sofía, is 15 – 20 minutes.
Other popular areas along the south coast of Tenerife are El Medano where you will find a water sports beach with many international wind suffering and kit surfing completions. Los Abrigos with great fish restaurants, Golf Del Sur & Amarilla Golf where you can find 2 golf course´s, marina and a great complex El Nautico suites. Costa del Silenco & Las Galletas have a small fishing harbor. Palm Mar which is a quite area with a new beach in the process of construction (2014). Playa Paraiso & Callao Salvaje both are small touristic pockets with new beach’s, hotels, and residential apartments & villas, and of course bars & restaurants. Then following down the west coast of Tenerife you will find Playa San Jaun again with a beautiful beach and harbor, Alcala that is a small Spanish town with a luxurious 5 star hotel Gran Melia Palacio. Then there are the larger touristic resorts of Puerto Santiago and Los Gigantes with the natural black sandy beaches, marina and impressive cliffs.
Tenerife also offers great rural locations away from the hustle of the busy touristic area, areas such as Los Menores, Arico, Taucho, Tijoco, San Miguel, Adeje, Los Blanquitos, Granadilla and many more, all offering great rural properties ranging from working fincas growing various fruits trees, vegetables and of course grapes, prejudicing some great local wines -- to hidden away luxury villas.
